FROM PARTICIPANTS

After taking part in the Regional Workshops, some young participants were invited to continue their journey with YouthDecide 2040 as project Ambassadors. The initiative was created to keep young people actively involved in the project while preparing the next stage: the National Workshops held across Europe.

As volunteers, the Ambassadors supported the process in different ways. They helped review translated materials, spread the word about the open call, reach new participants and, in some cases, support facilitators during the National Workshops. Their involvement helped strengthen the connection between the different stages of the project and bring the National Workshops closer to young people in each country.

Below, you can meet some of the YouthDecide 2040 Ambassadors who helped bring the National Workshops to life:

Hélène Ramaroson

Hélène Ramaroson is a Franco-Malagasy consultant, coach, and facilitator focused on democracy, youth empowerment, and creative participation. She works at méristHemE and has contributed to initiatives with the European Partnership for Democracy and What about Dem. After taking part in YouthDecide 2040, she became an Ambassador to support youth participation and dialogue in democracy.

Yleanna Robert

Yleanna Robert is a feminist and queer activist working on inclusion and collective care. With a background in journalism, she amplifies the voices of sexual and gender minorities through her project Bisexual Voices. She has lived in France, Finland, Spain, and Latin America. She believes democracy depends on listening to marginalised voices and creating inclusive spaces.

Eszter Miklovicz-Ladányi

Eszter Miklovicz-Ladányi is a student of International Relations at Corvinus University in Budapest. She is interested in politics, foreign affairs, intercultural dialogue, and languages. She is also part of the US Embassy’s Youth Council in Budapest. After the YouthDecide2040 workshop, she became an Ambassador and now helps organise local workshops.

Clàudia Larumbe Serra

Clàudia has a background in International Relations and Gender Studies and is based in Barcelona. She works as a researcher with experience in policy, social media strategy, and democratic engagement. She is passionate about intersectional feminism and youth participation.

As a YouthDecide 2040 Ambassador, she works to make democracy more inclusive and future-ready.

Giorgio Vailati

Giorgio is 23 and from Crema, Italy. He studied in Milan and Dublin and is now completing a Double Degree in Prague. He is passionate about political communication, EU project development, and international law, especially the law of the sea. His research focuses on piracy and sea level rise. He is passionate about political communication, political advocacy, and EU project management and development.

Ella Glatzová

Ella is from Slovakia and studies European Studies in The Hague. She believes young people play a key role in shaping democracy and ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making. She is interested in civic engagement and youth participation as tools for more open and inclusive societies.

Lena Gramlinger

Lena is from Austria and studies Transformation Studies in Vienna and Linz. She has a background in springboard diving and enjoys reading, crafting, and baking. She is currently on Erasmus in Norway. She is interested in politics and wants to make democracy more understandable and approachable.

Marwane El Mahi

Marwane is a historian specialising in cultural transfers between Muslim and European societies. He has been volunteering since 2015 and is part of the Forum des Jeunes in Belgium. He aims to connect young people from minority or disadvantaged backgrounds through the work carried out in YouthDecide2040.

Zack Balzan

Zack is 21 years old and is currently studying European Politics in Brussels. He is passionate about making Europe a better place for everyone, with a particular focus on the role and inclusion of young people in shaping its future. He believes that youth voices matter and should be taken into account in political processes, and is motivated by the idea of turning this engagement into meaningful impact.

Giulio Del Giudice

Giulio is a youth worker and trainer who holds a PhD on sustainable and regenerative tourism in UNESCO Creative Cities. He is involved in several organisations, including ESN, AIGU, AIS, DestinAction, Europiamo, and Legambiente. Within ESN, he works as a trainer, facilitator, and Liaison Officer for the European Youth Forum, and is active in the Italian Youth Council.

Omnia Metwaly

Omnia is from Austria and is passionate about youth participation and the future of democracy in Europe. After joining a YouthDecide workshop in Paris, she became motivated to get more involved and help connect others to the project. She is committed to inspiring young people to engage with democracy, encouraging them to raise their voices and share their ideas with confidence.
